Hiya Matey,

Just checked out your pictures on mf... more great stuff. Of course I started at the top and worked backwards... couldn't figure out who the heck Charlie was until I got to the beginning of the series... then whoa... those people were/are despicable... it is highly unfortunate that California got rid of the death penalty before they were put out of their misery. I am pleased that Sharon Tate's sister shows up every time one of those stupid broads is up for parole and puts the kibosh on it. I've seen the Geraldo Rivera and Diane Sawyer(?) interviews with him... fascinating looks at the devil in operation. He is not stupid... makes you wonder.

I read Helter Skelter... still can't fathom the depths of his charismatic evil.

Interesting exchange between you and nyc on CA... especially your bottom line about what it was like in the 60s... My experience with the state was a couple of weeks after our stay on Kwajalein. Drove from San Francisco (Pop did) to L.A... stayed with cousins in Sherman Oaks during the heat wave that preceded the '65 riots... we got out the day before they started.

Thought the state was beautiful... wished we lived there. The image was fueled by all those surfer movies... prime entertainment for a 13/14-year-old on a remote tropical island. When I look at those movies today as well as others from that time period and earlier then compare the scenery shots with what I see coming from today's media, I am appalled at the build up... same as I am when I look at what happened to NJ... our cesspool is filled with Hindus and Hispanics... nice folks on a one on one basis... but why the heck are we stuck with them... there is not enough land as there is... plus which the idiots of the urban centers voted in McGreevey... sure to be a one-term governor... we're about to be taxed out of our skulls... IMO.
