It's a helluva lot closer to truck corn to E-plants than it is to other major processing plants or corn flake factories. Tremendous portions of the harvest are directly used for animal/dairy feed - as is the DDG byproduct of E-plants.
When ethanol first came out I got a 3MPG increase in my 77 Jeep Honcho 4x4 (360ci, V8, 4V RV carb, 4 speed manual. 1/4ton) over regular or premium. At $4/gal now, that makes a big difference.
The separated water from the discharge of an anaerobic digester is excellent nutrient rich feedstock for algae growth, enhanced by VRAL's new lipid boosters. That is the future key to green energy here in the USA; not the bogus WIND BS, solar, or Big Oil R&D boondoggles..!!!
