Pharmstar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Raj, Aquaprin is a "permitted combination" under USP 24 and meets the requirement of the FDA's Analgesic Monograph. As long as we stay under the Monograph, Aquaprin is approved. If we were not using the permitted combinations, or if we claimed that drinking Aquaprin cured toenail fungus, then we would have to make an application to the FDA and prove our claims. OR, if we decided that we wanted to deliver Aquaprin another way, instead of an effervescing crystal, then we would have to make an application and prove it works. Since the USP and FDA allow for our combination of ingredients, delivered in an effervescing crystal, Aquaprin is an approved product.

Pharmstar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Left out one other reason for application....if Aquaprin developed a prescription strength product, as all prescription drugs require application.
