With all due respect to you, I couldn't disagree with you more. Maybe in most other OTC cases your assertion holds some degree of validity. However, NEOM defies this elementary archetype. Why?

If you truly understand the makeup of the company and what it is they've set out to accomplish since the late 80's, then you will intuitively understand there is a paradigm shift underway in wireless search (soon to be known for what it is, e.g. navigation).

It will be finacially feuled by all major advertisers on a global front and it will act like a web, crossing all wireless boundaries; connecting everything and everyone in its path in RT. It will break down communication barriers between people and nations and will link the world in a homogeniuos manner.

CF saw this shift starting to happen in 1989 when he left IBM and has worked towards implementing it ever since.

Quote from the Pondering Primate: "Howard Rheingold author of Smart Mobs saw the PC years before it evolved. He saw the internet before it hit too. He was part of the physcial world connection long before he wrote his book. HR is famous for envisioning the internet w/ Bernie Ebbers and Howard Rheingold is a true visionary. He gets paid by the top tech. comoanys to consult."

I for one believe CF was right there with Howard Rheingold in his visionary understanding or what the internet was and how wireless comminication would be the next shit in communication knowledge transfer. It's real and its happening now.
