Movieguy, very good point, and thank you for providing me with some ammo for use against some of my even more skeptical IT friends (including my fairly bigwig buddy at Nokia, who has been absolutely kicking himself every day for not buying Neom stock as I told him to.) I didn't think about that angle; that the brands have a much more compelling reason to buy and promote a word registry than google has to promote its own sms directory. That's good thinking. I still doubt that brands will pay thousands for the word registry without proof that people will use it- but i'm hoping that i remain skeptical as the price continues to skyrocket like this!
