Different times, different oppertunities. Most of the stores I listed were around well before the E-commerce world. They all moved to E-commerce later on. There is nothing wrong with opening only a couple of stores then exploiting the E-commerce world to help generate more profitability without sinking every bit of your capital in a brick and mortar and not have funds to keep you afloat.

It's smart business. Online business can reach out MUCH further than any fixed facility could ever do. Before you bash, try and do some logical reasoning or at the very least try to look and thigs from different perspectives. Just because a company isn't skyrocketing doesn't mean it's not moving up.
