Also to ponder, Nellis AFB in Las Vegas hosts "Red Flag" exercises. That is one of the larger international war games held in US. It makes it very easy / cost effective to bid & provide aggressor squadron air services to this and other exercises.
This shows TAC AIR / TDAF are smart guys. Positioning in NV also gives access to many west coast bases, both USAF & Navy.
Gotta luv these guys and the way they think!
