I think you are correct...American owns 10% of ACLY within American. PGPM owns 100% of American. Just as American own a few screwdrivers and a couple of shovels PGPM owns 100% of the tools.

So in a way we can't say PGPM owns 20% of ACLY, but in the end...we do....not in direct terms! That's the disclaimer you noted.
