What I do varies...
When accumulating I buy on the bid. When I am happy with my position and the technicals look appropriate I will begin to slap the ask.
I did this the other day with DN?D and among other investors we aided in the breakout. Its the only way to break through fake walls that MM's put up. It doesn't always work that way but I feel once my position is filled and I am happy I will be a part of running it up.
In the event I get to the scene late I may accumulate as much as I can but once I see the stock moving I buy at the ask.
With SIOR, before yesterday, I was happy with my position and the bands were tightening. I was ready to begin slapping the ask, then we dipped (caused I believe by GS call). Now if I was in a larger exchange stock I would say this may take days to correct itself. Not the case with pinkies. I am wait and see and back to nibbling.
Anything in the .003's is a buy to me so I may be ask slapping today. My position is full but these shares are so cheap..
I have a lot more to my strategies but those are a few things I think about.
Fundamentally SIOR has 7000 acres of prime oil/ng reserves. I do not see the energy situation correcting itself anytime soon. That tells me I can add and be patient. Geo Political events are still ever-changing. GS's oil targets had been surpassed and as traders it benefits them to now pull oil back to do what???? Run it back up later. Thats how they make there money...
One thing to note, a stock so undervalued as SIOR, will technically correct itself without news. I personally believe SIOR is way undervalued so it is my belief this summer whether it be via progress updates or technicals this stock will break out. There is no doubt in my mind it can sustain well into pennyland with its potential.
Patience is key!! glta
