Today : Tuesday 12 April 2011
DNA Dynamics, Inc (PK:DNAD) is pleased to announce today that it has completed its acquisition to acquire 100% of Slam Productions Limited.

Slam Productions was founded by industry veterans Paul Ranson and Craig Weeks in 2007 and in 2010 was named by Develop Magazine as one of the top 100 most successful game studios in the world. SLAM has created over 15 games across 7 platforms in an impressive 3 years including some large TV brands and IP.

Paul Ranson will be joining the Board as Senior VP of Development from April 30th 2011. Paul is an award winning veteran games developer with over 100 production credits. Paul originally set out by writing games for the Sinclair Spectrum and Amstrad home computers before setting up his own business, Big Red Software, which was eventually sold in the flotation of Eidos Interactive. Paul has previously been Director of Development for Codemasters and also ran Aqua Pacific for 10 years as the Managing Director.

Craig Weeks also joins the team as a founding member of Slam Productions and an integral part in its current success. Craig began his career writing mini game compilations packs for the Commodore Amiga. He later spent a 5 year stint developing music applications, writing midi sequencing and music notation software for the Atari ST, Commodore Amiga and PC along with prototyping real-time midi live audio applications. For the past 13 years he has been working exclusively on video games and game utility programming.

Ed Blincoe said on the acquisition "Slam Productions not only has a wealth of back catalogue to trade upon, but has its own Rapid Development Platform – the Slam Engine - which makes taking a game or App to multiple platforms incredibly easy. By using the Slam Engine we can massively reduces the time to market and the cost to the business".

Blincoe continues, "It was a simple decision for us. Having worked with the guys for some years and the synergy between their development pipeline and our publishing model was obvious for everyone to see. We asked them to come on board and they jumped at the chance to work with us on the inside."

DNA Dynamics, Inc recently announced that it had opened a New European Development Centre in Leamington, UK. Leamington Spa is at the very heart of the European Game Development marketplace.
