Sorry BTH, if you don't know the difference between what makes a great CEO and what makes a great Scientist, I can't help you.. You have to understand the basics, sport..

I have no idea if the dude would be a good CEO or not, but let me make some comments on the general issue.

Being "humble and honest" would be an attribute that he would have in common with 2 of the top CEOs of our time, B Gates and W Buffet.

Almost all really great CEOs are actually people who know the real business, not the CFO type clowns who rarely do anything other than collect big bucks.

IMHO, the top CEO of out era is S Jobs. He build the company, then left, then when the company was in the toilet came back to make it a winner again. His strength was that he understood what Apple was (providing a better UI), and not just doing admin crap.
