See my previous post regarding PET. In regards to PVC, JBI deals with this in the same way by preprocessing the plastic so that only the hydrocarbons enter the P2O reactor, what doesn't enter the reactor is hydrochloric acid which has value on its own. It's a non-issue right now as PVC is not allowed for use at the Niagara Falls factory under the DEC permits but it can be used elsewhere down the road.

In regards to HDPE, PP, LDPE, what we don't know is that the impact of the catalyst on these plastics as very little waste is created with these plastics and this is why the technology is mind blowing. When clean (not cleaned) plastic is used with the P2O Processor, there is less than 1% waste, the rest is converted into diesel, gasoline/naphtha, and propane and butane. The waste increases the dirtier the plastic is as these plastics are not pre-treated or cleaned. The waste comes from paints, screws, bits of food and other chemicals used in the plastic which JB has reported as creating 1-4% waste.

Just a note regarding waste, the waste is basically black powdery gunk with the metal screws and similar items maintaining their shape as the reactor does not get hot enough to melt them. The waste has been tested by the New York Department of Environmental Conservation and it is not toxic and can be disposed of. The NY DEC also supervised a stack test using various plastics and the results were that emissions from the process were cleaner than what you would get from a similar sized home furnace. This is very green technology.
