I'm sure it is - it offers a virtually certain quick return. Investors can flip the shares and tuck the warrants away.

I wish these small companies used rights offerings (as is common in say the UK) instead of this sort of deal.

PYMX has done a great job on the science side - not so much on the finance/partnering side.
