Isn't there another "end of the earth" scheduled for this May sometime?

And i mean a different one, that some teabagger was jacking his jaws about, not the Mayan one.... which always makes me laugh, because the end of their world already happened, and they were off on predicting their own demise by about a millenia, so why do the cosmic agers fret about the end of the Mayan calendar? When i look at their calendar, it just looks to me like they ran out of rock to carve on, so they called it good and stopped.
