SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 1, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Arrayit Corporation (OTCBB:ARYC) announces today the product launch of OvaDx®, the market's first Pre-Symptomatic Screening Test for Ovarian Cancer. The company is offering the first 1,000 tests to attendees of the 102nd annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on April 2-6, 2011.

OvaDx® is a sophisticated microarray-based blood test that measures the activation of the immune system in response to early stage ovarian tumor cell development. Research studies with OvaDx® indicate high sensitivity and specificity for all types and stages of ovarian cancer including stage IA-IV borderline serous, clear cell, endometrioid, mixed epithelial, mucinous, serous, and ovarian adenocarcinoma. OvaDx® is being offered at $650 per test for research purposes only to advance the forefront of ovarian cancer research. OvaDx® can be used to analyze different tumor types and stages, the effectiveness of chemotherapies, biomarker profiles in breast cancer and other epithelial cancers, benign gynecological conditions, the efficacy of ovarian cancer drugs for treatment and prevention, and to benchmark existing tests including CA-125, OVA1®, and transvaginal ultrasound.
