Montrose, I hate Japan, with a vengeance, and that was, before the earthquake.

Of all eleven countries I've lived and taught in, Japan, is far and away, THE worst.

We want to get to Phuket, quaint, great cuisine, roaring, chilling pristine beaches, unlike the tepid polluted ones, here, and a large ex-pat population of retirees, Brits and americans.

Our combined social security is $2400, and that is enough to live, like Kings.

The hospitals in Bangkok are so good, an hour, or so, away from Phuket, that americans have coined a new term: medical tourists.

Example, Lasik eye surgery costs about a 20th, there, and the nurses watch after each patient, as if they were Your own mother - it's their way.

I've been to the hospitals, there, several times for routine checkups.

Thanks for asking the question, Montrose.
