President George W. Bush is
expected on Monday to nominate CSX Corp. <CSX.N> Chairman John
Snow to be U.S. treasury secretary, sources familiar with the
decision said on Sunday.
Sources also said Stephen Friedman, who served as
co-chairman of Goldman Sachs with former Treasury Secretary
Robert Rubin, will be named to head up the White House National
Economic Council.
Both announcements are expected on Monday barring any
last-minute glitch in reviews of both candidates' backgroun
