UNIVERSAL EXPRESS DEMANDS CIA /SEC INQUIRY



NEW YORK, NY - April 25, 2005 -- Universal Express, Inc. (OTCBB: USXP) today strongly reacted to the New York Post’s and not the SEC’s exposé of the CIA and its alleged CIA Employees Investment Club into certain stocks for personal gain using taxpayer money http://www.nypost.com/business/45259.htm and has called for a Justice Department Inquiry into these wrongdoings. What is the CIA by Charter doing with domestic affairs? The CIA is an independent agency, responsible to the President through the DCI, and accountable to the American people through the intelligence oversight committees of the U.S. Congress. How could our SEC not know?

“This raises the same doubts and concerns that our lawsuit of March 2, 2004 against the SEC regarding rogue SEC Agents that, in our opinion, went over to the criminal naked short selling side,” said Richard A. Altomare, Chairman & CEO of Universal Express.

“No system can prevent trusted evil doers from surfacing and it in no way should demean the millions of loyal government employees who make America proud daily. When a New York Post writer and a respected 22 year old American public company claim that something is wrong, they should never, in a free society, be silenced or attacked prior to an Inquiry,” continued Mr. Altomare.

“I’m demanding a Justice Department Inquiry now into the CIA and SEC relationship. Maybe the SEC will grant amnesty to the CIA as it has with naked short sellers,” continued Mr. Altomare.

“After we exposed SEC wrongdoings, like today’s New York Post article regarding the CIA; a press release attempting to destroy the messengers was issued by the SEC, the defendant,” continued Mr. Altomare.

“I trust that the New York Post is permitted under our First Amendment to be fully heard on their claims and not retaliated against by the defendants or other agencies,” continued Mr. Altomare.

“I believe that eventually the SEC’s Leadership will understand that if CIA Agents can go bad – so can unchecked SEC conflicted Agents,” continued Mr. Altomare.

“When can governmental agencies self-regulate without wrongly feeling that they themselves are under attack? I guess absolute power in the hands of those unable to appreciate the privilege as well as the responsibility of that power fosters abuse and disappointment,” continued Mr. Altomare.

“Let’s insure that the foxes are not guarding the henhouse. I’m proud of Universal Express’ position of loving our capitalistic system enough to question when wrongdoings are occurring. I thank the New York Post for further exposing the complex problems brought on by unchecked governmental agents involved in electronic trading and funding,” concluded Mr. Altomare.
