banjo, I don't think I have to explain to anyone my position regarding any stock, but I understand what you are saying, so here goes. Don't get me wrong, I will hang around here, but.....I tell it like it is and am not a fan of pumping any stock. My sentiments toward all of my stocks change almost weekly. The other stock you mention is being publicly promoted by the owners and that is paying off for their stockholders (check it out today). Not a better company (and I don't own it's stock), just better at promoting themselves. Both are pinks and risky at best, but the only portal to the investment world that small pinks have is through PR's and, at this point, we are not giving investors any information at all. Good or not so good reports (as long as they are truthful) both serve stockholders and help them decide where to put their money. SGCP has a great story to tell (helping employ and feed the people, farming, and gold mining), but for some reason are not willing to tell it. Why do you think that is? Is it about the money?? Hell, we could easily raise enough cash on this board to pay for a PR or two. I would be willing to contribute.
As for SGCP stock, I still own a lot of shares and will continue holding shares, but I am not looking for a great FR/PR that is supposed to be coming soon. Irrational projections of "tons of gold" by people on the board will not help raise the stock price, but will leave new stockholders in a panic sell mode if the report is not good. I have no more information than you, but the silence is deafening which leads me to believe the past 3 months of dredging have not been nearly as productive as people on this board would have you believe. A lot of things have not gone as planned this season. Too much rain/high rivers, equipment breakdowns, and a late start, to mention a few. I believe that, if things were going well, we would have had a PR out as soon as Doug returned from SL.
Finally, I am a huge fan and friend of John Semachko. He is a good person and has worked his butt off for this company and the stockholders. We should all appreciate that and he is the main reason I hang in with this company. Sorry I took so long with this.
