Hi KC

Got your PM and thanks.

I didn't talk about our trip as every time I get excited or talk about going anywhere someone either dies or gets ill in my family so rather than cursing them and our trip, I waited until we landed. lol

Kids are on spring break and believe it or not they wanted to come back here. My youngest loved going to the horse farm (which is like $6 a day here which is so much cheaper than the states so she can ride her little fannie off). The oldest loves the malls and the fact that she can get ten pairs of shoes for the price of one at our local mall. That's at Allbrook mall but Panama City mall would probably be more expensive than home.

Trip update

It took us two hours from the air port to the hotel. It seems the country is in an uproar and striking the fuel costs which is more expensive here than home. Several roads were closed down and trucks parked lined up on highways - so traffic is twice as bad.

Hotel, is in the Gamboa Rain Forrest. Very beautiful scenery if you like the jungle. The first night we saw what they call "lazy monkeys" but we know them as sloths. I have some pictures but forgot to bring my cord to upload them. It's kind of hard to tell it's a sloth as they have tiny heads and huge grey furry bodies.

Last night, we went for a walk and my youngest freaked out because there were hundreds of vultures circling around and it was kind of creepy.

All I can say is I envy Andy. Sitting outside looking at "life" in all it's beauty is simply amazing. I told hubby I'd give every single thing I owned up to have Andy's kind of life. Oh well, maybe by 50 or after the kids graduate from college.

Oddly, the internet out in the rain forrest is better than what I have at home as I haven't had one "out" day yet.

This trip has been more of a relaxing one than in the past as we were in the city before and pretty much on the go every minute. I find myself sitting outside and just staring out into the landscaping most of the time. It's hot here but since we're near the mountains, it's quite breezy and feels just perfect.

Hope everyone is doing well and will post pics next week.
