Per the last few news releases we know that US News (USN) has been granted a 6 month option to purchase 10MM shares at 0.015 and a 1 year option to purchase 10MM shares at 0.030. Also, HSN is free to make open market purchases.
Obviously, USN and HNSS feel that the current pps is undervalued, and that .030 would provide a more accurate market cap. But .030 is not the true value of the company. The true value would be much higher than this 0.030 number. Significantly higher. And it has to reach those levels in a relatively short term in order to make the investment worthwhile for USN.
Now, USN has come out with an offer to purchase 10MM more shares directly from investors for 0.010 per share. This is interesting, considering that they are free to purchase shares on the open market. Do they feel that 10MM shares on the open market would not be available? Would the pps be driven up by the volume? Do they have information that tells them they need to get the shares NOW, before something big happens? This offer can't be to simply boost the pps short term, because even if they bought their option shares while the pps is above .015, they wouldn't be able to sell for a year due to the restrictions.
There could be other things going on between these 2 companies, but we don't have any reason to believe something shady is happening.
