I think it is huge news for CBIS that the NCI acknowledges the medical value of cannabis. National Cancer Institute (NCI) is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which is one of 11 agencies that compose the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The FDA also comes under the same umbrella as NCI because they are all part of the HHS.

In the many pages that make up that new article, they note that VA also recognizes cannabis as therapeutic.
