Thanks for the info hoarseman! I agree with your bullet points being terrific for the sector....

The aspects that are less than desirable are IMO directly related to how the DEA is responsible for assigning the scheduling of drugs like marijuana, and currently have no intention to change their current "1" status as an illicit substance with no medicinal properties...come on!! Really??

Their very existence is based on maintaining the status quo with regard to weed since so much of what they do involves going after drug traffickers and sellers, etc. If they rescheduled marijuana to a level II where it could be researched by the government/private sector legally and the medicinal value would then be publicized on a grand scale, their days of having marijuana classified as an illicit substance would be very much numbered, thus making a large portion of their bottom line irrelevant!

How can you put the agency that is in charge of making decisions on the classification of illegal drugs, also responsible for executing the existing laws governing those same substances?? It's as ass backwards as it gets IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised if the recent Fed raids on legally functioning dispensaries was a machination of the recently appointed director of the DEA putting pressure on Obama to cave to his previous edict of having the feds leave those states with legal MMJ alone....

JMHO!
