They are good, for that kind of deal. But it still can lead to lower prices, which leads to more dilution. That is a spiral down. Maybe not a death spiral, but how about a torture spiral? :)
The difference here is D doesn't care about the company. A private individual who made that deal with the company would have the companies best interest at heart. D just wants their money.
