Frog - Of course the investigators knew that the DNA was not from a family member as soon as they examined it. However, since their theory was that someone in the family did murdered JonBenet, the investigators came up with a far-fetched theory that the DNA in JonBenet's underwear came from the sneeze of an Asian worker from the factory were the underwear was made.

Had investigators known that the DNA was from non-Asian male, they might have come to the far more logical conclusion that the DNA found in JonBenet’s underwear co-mingled with her blood, by the way, came from her killer.

If early in the investigation, while the evidence was still fresh, the Boulder PD would have focused their investigation on suspects who were not family members, they might have found her killer.

You say the fact the DNA from JonBenet’s panties belongs to a white male who is not a member of JonBenet’s family is not very useful. I say you’re wrong. Pretty simple.
