If the merger is with Principal Solar they do have astronaut Buzz Aldrin on their adviser team so that will certainly add some credibility IMO.
I found this article on their CEO Michael Gorton that says they want to amass 1GW of solar power within the next 3 years, which is pretty huge but saying it and doing it is another thing.

Still, the longs in SOPV appear to have gotten fleeced at one point and lost their shirts, I don't know if Gorton had anything to do with it but it doesn't exactly give me the warm fuzzies.
Again we don't know if Principal Solar is really the company they are merging with but I think it's as good a guess as any.
I'll keep this one on my watchlist for now but I'll hold off on purchasing anything yet.
