What I don't understand is, who brought up creating old debt to wrap. According to Dean's own filing, QASP didn't carry a balance sheet worth mentioning. Now, he claims there was 10 million in old debt, that he could wrap. So, was it suggested to him as a way to raise money, or did he just come up with it out of the blue, and it was so easy, he kept it up? I guess that the answer to that will be the answer to whether or not Joe C. is entitled to getting his money back.
And, yes, if they see that you really can get money out of a stone, there will be all sorts of people attempting to do so. I hope that Owens has really good lawyers, and he really is a fairy godfather. :<)
