I agree with other folks here. I don't see this impacting the current federal case very much. AT&T has stated publically that it will take a year or so to complete the details of the merger. AT&T also needs to get permission from the feds as well.
Just because a potential merger was announced doesn't mean the federal case is dead.
Current and potential lawsuit damages are factored into merger and acqusition valuations. If anything, it may mean that AT&T already has a figure in mind for settlement and included it in the total buyout. T-mobile is on the hook to disclose any liabilities. This is a positive for us.
