Nope, he fails to realize that the spent fuel rods are (or were) in a pool above the reactor vessel. These contain more radioactive material than the core itself, and now are uncontained. If these can not be kept cool, they will burn. That would be bad.
I certainly hope the engineers can keep this cool, but the danger is quite real. The "nothing bad can happen" line is bogus.
