Wow, what a paperwork and legal nightmare to sort that out. Somehow they will need to change the cusip and reissue to shareholders of record at November 26, 2001. Either that or raise the authorize to accomodate all the 'excess' shares.

I wonder who issued those shares? I'm sure they would have to have been fraudulantly created or represented if they were in fact invalid at the time of issue. If it was the company who issued them, then they would have no other recourse but to raise the authorized to accomodate them to avoid prosecution for the sale of them.
