Positive Affirmations Overview We all have a running internal monologue. This is called our ‘self-talk’. A lot of times our self talk can be negative and unhelpful which can cause stress. You can turn your thinking around by creating positive affirmations (positive self-talk statements), and training your brain to use these statements where you would traditionally use negative or unhelpful ones. Developing positive self talk will help reinforce positive feelings and break cycles of stress.
