i don't think DA has the time to wait another 10 years to develop the perfect franchise startegy.

i'd be fine with him taking a short-cut and have the franchise decided certain marketing strategies, advertising, etc themselves.

i'm working with german start up companies every day and they have a general structure in their business plan laid out only. everything else can be dealt with when it comes up. right now the focus of those companies is on growing in terms of opening loacatios to be in place when the economy catches up again.
