Just tried Qtrax on my Mac. I am not a music tech guru, but here is my opinion....

1) ease of use-------------- A+
2) speed of download--------- A+
3) "time" to acquire license----- A
4) Available content---------- C- (all old songs)
5) If i play a song and then try to replay it it needs to acquire license again---- D+
6) Must be connected online to acquire license each time you play---------- D+
7)ABLE TO TRANSFER FILE TO ELSEWHERE ON COMPUTER----------------- F

Thats my overall opinion. I have to agree with you Wayne that it is a very limited license. I couldn't find most of the current latest songs. However I disagree with you on the ease.
I went to Qtrax.com and it automatically downloaded SIlverlight, opened silverlight and presto, i was downloading or streaming music (its better then actual streaming cause you don't have to stay connected to the internet and it doesn't get interrupted in the middle) However no portability and almost no songs available.

Ads: there was no ads on the library screen, so I can play songs all day (with acquiring license each time) with out ever seeing an ad. The only ads are on the main page where you would pick which song to download. Its on the side of that main page where they would be on any news page (where your eyes get accustomed not looking at). I don't understand how they can generate revenue that way? If I had downloaded 100 songs I would be searching every time, I would be scrolling thru my library and playing songs. I wouldn't see any ads at all
