Greetings board, I don't often post, just lurk hoping to get a heads-up on news or info before the rest of the investing public. I have been long for over a year on 1/3 of my QBID shares but haven't done so well on my recent purchases averaging up, down and all around.
I assume most of you folks are honest and sincere, just allow stress and emotions to get control from time to time. I was in "infotopia" some years back and lost all, in spite of an amiable CEO who liked to pump his own stock on the boards, (supposedly) and I still hold a few shares of ibiz (ibzte) at the moment, would have loved to see their product realized and was led to believe it would be a reality, not.
OK sorry now you know why I don’t post, long winded and boring, but I did want to relate a thought about qbid. The recent statements about the retirement of shares implies that F. Olsen owned them but doesn’t stipulate whether they were:
• part of his original controlling interest (I tend to doubt that since it might lower his holdings and jeopardize his level of control) ,
• or perhaps he bought extra shares, maybe some of those mysterious late (at the end of the day) transactions that numbered in the millions.
I no longer believe anything anyone on these boards says without further research, but get many ideas on how and where to look for info. The information released by the company is often vague and sometimes misleading but probably doesn’t constitute fraud or invite litigation. If he bought additional shares and retired them, could he with the services of MM’s or other professionals have manipulated the share price legally in order to acquire the necessary shares at a reasonable price in allowable quantities to accomplish this? The occurrence of PR’s often suspiciously coincided with downward pps just when it looked really bad a PR sometimes with a totally new twist came out and stopped the downward spiral.
For now I continue to hold long and strong and will try to believe the best of our benefactor, knowing that this may very well be the play of my lifetime but realizing that it is still a very speculative, pie in the sky, gamble.
Wish the best to all and appreciate the input from many on this board. hank
