If I was the retail store chain, I sure as heck would prohibit Identa from using my name until I see enough product to put on the shelves of a significant number of stores. If by some "catastrophe" the deal never comes to fruition, I wouldn't want my name associated with Identa.
After the first round of product is accepted, then I'd say "you may publish the name of my company".
I'm sure the people at "major retail drug chain" have come across this message board in their DD (maybe not as a formal part of it, but in passing) prior to accepting a deal. D&B is good, but if I were spending that much money, I'd dig a LITTLE deeper.
