Points well taken and I agree that the game is based on a tradition and level of sportmanship that is unequaled in any other sport and that it should be played in that manner.

And while many of the greats of the game are known for their positive demeanors and friendliness some others are well-known for their arrogance and meglomania. But to your point it does not make it right or appropriate...

BTW, I play against myself every round...unfortunately I usually lose!!! :)
