DuPont makes Kevlar which could and would be a product line threatened by Gen 3 spidersilk. DuPont would certainly be interested in preserving their market share and acquiring a comparable or superior technology imho.

Our advisor Dr. Joe Cunning is a past DuPont scientist so I think it is not a stretch to say that he would have more than the contacts and respect to shepard a deal between the two companies.

Joe Cunning,Ph.D.

Cunning & Associates, Ltd. was formed in 1992 after a 28-year career in fibers and technical management at DuPont. Serving as Director of the National Textile Center is a major consumer of my time. Speaking and consulting internationally on large system integration problems using neural nets and chemometrics to relate multivariate inputs and outputs has resulted in a very heavy travel schedule.

I spent my entire professional career in the textile complex and those relationships form the basis of my business and professional interests. I serve on the board and council of the Textile Institute. My formal education was at Iowa State University, earning a Ph.D. in chemical engineering 1965. Being born and raised in a small Iowa town, I still have strong interests in agriculture.
