Is PaperClick Limited to Barcodes?
Although barcodes are the most common machine readable identifier in the world right now, there are many others out there as well. As one example, Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) tags are an emerging alternate standard for identifying products. PaperClick can apply equally to them. Even voice can be a machine readable identifier, since an Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) system can extract the words you are speaking from the audio and use them in a computer-based application.
