Larry Berry crashed and died aboard stolen bike on 1st Avenue By Hart Van Denburg, Wed., Oct. 27 2010 @ 1:38PM Comments (9) Categories: Bicycle, Crime Share10 0diggsdigg
Larry Berry died at this intersection. ?Fifty-five year-old Larry Berry of Minneapolis, who's been in trouble with the law before, was the man who died in the bike crash Monday on 1st Avenue.
The bike he was riding was stolen from Market Plaza a few hours earlier, according to Minneapolis police.
A Quicksilver Express Courier truck struck him on 1st Avenue as it turned right across his path onto 5th Street N. in front of The Loon Cafe.
It was the first time there's been a fatal accident involving a bicycle rider since 1st Avenue became a two-way street with a bike lane about a year ago. (This explines why there has been no PRs)
And some of us thought he was using our money to drive fancy cars and drink expensive wine
