Aj, somebody must be buying all these millions of WiFi nodes. That is the hottest product right now. And based on articles from Infoworld and PCWeek, businesses are the main drivers.
I'll ask you in a different way. If I tap into your wired physical ethernet network (by taping in your wired closet or ceiling or wall wires, do I get access to your data?). If you can answer that then you have your answer. The 128bit encryption is a wall to that kind of access. From there on out is up to your administartor to make sure your network is secure so that anyone with illegal access to the physical network does not get access to the data network (servers etc.). My point is that no network is secured unless your admin has used all the security tools he has. WiFi is no different.
