RMTD Sorry Scottrade's primary Market Maker is Knight Capital, So there is a reason why they do not let you price shares that high... My research has told me on many occasions that shares that Scottrade loans Knight Capital for shorting comes from your accounts. Anything priced lower then $1 are easier for them to loan out. Plus it does help if you are Rodger Rinney CEO of Scottrade & a director on the board for Knight Capital... Does it not?

And Knight does have to pay for them of course.... I believe the average is .0004 per share loaned, so you see it's a win to keep penny stocks down if you are a MM or Scottrade ~ IMO
