A long, long time ago....
I can still remember how the buyback used to make me smile
And I knew that if I pulled my certs
That I could make those shorties hurt
And maybe I'd be wealthy for awhile
But late October made me shiver
As the PRs were delivered
SEC on the doorstep
Melvin fired (poor sap)
I can't remember if I groaned
When I heard "related party" loans
But something chilled me to the bone
The day the volume died
So....
Bye, bye to my hopes to retire
Sold my Chevy for some more shares when the prices were higher
Them evil bashers tried to tell me to sell
But I told them they could blow me in Hell
Cause I know goddamn well that all is well
Did you post replies to Zen?
And did you have faith in Roger Glenn?
Like the pumpers said we should
And do you believe in naked shorts?
In Urbie, Roger, and cohorts?
And, can you tell me that the OS is real low?
Well I know that there's conspiracy
'Cause I've seen things like it on TV
No way that I was ripped off
Must be a government plot
I was a lonely teenaged bronkin' buck
With a load of divvies but no pickup truck
And I knew I was surely f*ck*d
The day the volume died
I started singing
Bye, bye to my hopes to retire
Sold my Chevy for some more shares when the prices were higher
Them evil bashers tried to tell me to sell
But I told them they could blow me in Hell
Cause I know goddamn well that all is well
Now for five months we've been dropping slow
Had to fill the gap, you know
Before we make the next big run
Did you know Roger worked for the SEC
Dr. D. has doctorates -three
They could roast the shorties, just for fun
And just when things were looking down
The faithful firmly held their ground
We won't give in this time
Brother, can you spare a dime?
And while Dr. D cut an MP3
And Sterling had a new theory
We just waited patiently
The day, the volume died
We were singing......
Bye, bye to my hopes to retire
Sold my Chevy for some more shares when the prices were higher
Them evil bashers tried to tell me to sell
But I told them they could blow me in Hell
Cause I know goddamn well all is well
Uncle Melvie in the Paltalk room
NITE and JEFF are bound for doom
Trillion shares short, hearts beating fast
And as CMKX dropped back a bit
UCAD declared a forward split
To make shortie and the Hedge Funds take a hit
Now the Master Plan's a little slow
No getting rich overnight, you know
We all just gotta hold tight
We'll win this epic fight
As the players tired for spin control
We dropped further in the hole
45,000 was the toll
The day, the volume died
Bye, bye to my hopes to retire
Sold my Chevy for some more shares when the prices were higher
Them evil bashers tried to tell me to sell
But I told them they could blow me in Hell
Yes I told them they could blow me in Hell
Oh and there we were at Texas Station
Just good ol' folks on medication
With no cash left to play the slots
So come on Rog be cunning, Rog be slick
Give us some news to make the shorties sick
So we can silence Janice and her clan
And when that Canuck broad rushed the dias
With no respect for freebie Kias
No balloons then were dropped
The pps would have popped
And now shorties bash on through the night
Even though they know that we are right
I heard Janice laughing with delight
The day the volume died
She was singing....
Bye, bye to your hopes to retire
Sold your Chevy for some more shares when the prices were higher
Them evil bashers tried to tell you to sell
But you told them they could blow you in Hell
Yes you told them they could blow you in Hell
I met I guy who said all was well
And asked him how to value parallel
But he just tried to spec-o-late
And I went down to the Paltalk room
Where I'd heard 'bout the Mt. St. Helens boom
But all that they would tell me was "real soon"
And on the boards the touts all pumped
The bashers laughed, and insiders dumped
But not a drill was spinning
And Arend wasn't winning
And the three men that I'd like to be
Roger, Ed, and, of course, Urbie
They're sipping cocktails by the sea
the day, the volume, died
They were singing....
Bye, bye to your hopes to retire
Sold your Chevy for some more shares when the prices were higher
Them evil bashers tried to tell you to sell
But you told them they could blow you in Hell
Yes you told them they could blow you in Hell
