This e-mail posted by chessmite from Dr Bob says it all.

"We are still focussed on following the plan and getting everything into full production at a number of locations. Eventually we will consider other ideas from them, but right now our goal is to be the main supplier of TQDots and solar cells. Keep a list of ideas...maybe there could be spinoff companies or joint ventures later (after this year)."
