Since you mentioned stem cell stocks, take a look at ACTC. They have been FDA approved for two clinical trials, one for Stargardt's disease and the other for macular degeneration. They have developed a way to get hESC stem cells from a blastomere without harming the embryo. (They have a patent for this as well as other IP.) This is HUGE as it negates the problems of some religious people/organizations who feel that harming an embryo is like murder.
