To be honest that's the big question here. I haven't seen any evidence that the shorts bought all these calls and immediately called the shares in. Is it even possible that you buy the calls and convert on the very same day after the market closes?


I'm an options novice, but to me the real question seems to be:

Are the shorts buying all those $5 calls, or are they selling them?

Could they actually be doing both? Thus showing lots of volume but not increasing the open interest?
