Exclusivity for what? If you tomorrow design a reading lamp for the iphone, powered by the iphone battery, and you have it checked and approved by apple (you just have to pass some technical tests, that your reading lamp won't explode and that kinda cr*p), you can put on a sticker, yay.

If I in 2 days decide to also design a reading lamp, and I pass their tests, I can also put a sticker on my reading lamp!!!

Now imagine Pascal has a company listed on the pinkies, and he decides to call me, and sell my reading lamp on a website and tell people he designed a reading lamp for the iPhone, he can sell my reading lamp, of course with the name "Pascal's company" on it, and put the sticker on the box of his reading lamp!!! He will now dump a few billion shares of his stock into the market, and will have made a ****load of money by that, he's not the first to have a reading lamp for the iPhone, he's certainly not going to sell alot of those reading lamps, but he's made a lot of money!!!

Now, You and I will be on the sidelines looking at him ... While he is making money printing shares, we're stuck with some reading lamps we can't get sold
