I think that both Hollis and Perttu deserve credit for saving DGRI. I don't know now they found each other, if Perttu brought two great deposits to Hollis or if Hollis found the deposits controlled by Perttu. How they found each other might be a good question to ask.
You can't depend on speaking to potential investors and groups. I once mad 240 formal presentations to individual investors, investment droups, MMs, and venture capital companies in a one (1) year period. I got 6 (six) offers to invest and took 3 of the offers. It's a hard sell because these groups are very cynical having heard a lot of BS in their time. The common theme is severe mistrust with all of the scandals. The second reason for not investing is past mistakes or the track record of management. The third reason is company ptojections for expentitures. The fourth and final reason was the idea that no one had ever done it before so it can't have been done.
