chunkie.coltie...

117 pounds!!! Methinks you exaggerate ein bischen... at least I hope so... you're tall enough to carry it but... <g>

Sounds like you've been having a great time... so how were the Stones... I don't go to concerts anymore... too loud and too crowded and usually the bands sound better recorded than they do live... I'm old. Woke up to their "Heartbreaker" on the radio and decided that I need to get Goat's Head Soup on CD... have the vinyl but still haven't gotten it together to solve my turntable problem... miss that album. Anyway, please tell me the living legends were absolutely fabulous. Dave Barry did a piece on them recently that was pretty funny, I'll try to find it for you.

I had a feeling you might be at the Texas - Texas A&M game... got to tell you, there were so many drop dead gorgeous Texans in burnt orange that you blended right in with the crowd... <g> Tell me colt, are looks part of the admission requirements as well as brains or is everyone in Texas that good looking.

My Thanksgiving was productive as you can see in my post to NLionGuy... had planned to spend the weekend in the isolation booth. The family was in NC on the Outer Banks... I didn't want to drive nor did I want to spend a week cooped up with my loved ones... would have driven me batty. Turned down local invitations but then got one on Wednesday that I could not resist. A woman I am making friends with looked totally appalled when she found out that I was spending it alone and invited me over to meet her husband's family... The two of them are good people so I thought sure... and said yes, thank you!

Glad I did. He is the youngest of five... 3 boys, 2 girls... the parents are dead... Very funny, lively, loving crew. They give each other a hard time, but there is ZERO animosity just kindness. They had their dozens and dozens of kids with them.., mostly teens who were hiding downstairs but eventually filtered upstairs and joined the adults without being coaxed. Interesting kids. I kept thinking how pleased the parents would be to see how much their children and grandchildren love each other... not in that soppy way. wink

Believe the parents were there spiritually... when I got the tour of the house, my hostess (C) found a salad bowl that didn't belong to her that had a couple of game chips in it... She brought it upstairs to see if anyone knew who owned it... They looked at it and said, "That's Mom's..."

Turns out the game pieces in it belonged to C's daughter who used to play with them when she visited her grandmother. They and the bowl were in her closet and were "brought out" when her three young cousins went into her room and tore it up (she was not happy)... I think "Mom" sent the kids in there to get the bowl and let everyone know the folks were still with them... as did one of her daughters who raised her glass and toasted her parents...

And here's the kicker... "Mom's" birthday was June 13th... same as mine. The bowl was found when this June 13th was getting the tour. smile

Dang I'm weird... anyway so much for football.

Oh yeah... as much as I hate to say this... I can see why Penn State is rated higher than MI in the polls... their losses were much closer than ours especially to Iowa... we got blown away, they managed to get through to overtime.

NLionGuy... do you have any idea how much that hurt to type??? <g>

Enough of this... gotta think about starting my day... Take care colt, glad to hear you are out enjoying life.
