Smart Grid

Mesh Global™ Smart Grid provides wireless high-speed voice and data multi-use, multi-channel mesh network with secure encryption and GPS technologies. The Smart Grid provides a combination of communication technologies, which are strategically designed and engineered for multi-use applications and configured to use with or in addition to existing city infrastructures. Smart Grid provides a hybrid network built on a super fast Internet backbone, with GPS, location based applications, secure encryption, and an array of complimentary software & technologies included. Smart Grid provides a community network allowing citizens, business, public safety, city personnel and visitor's access and connectivity throughout the city.

Mesh Global™ Smart Grid is typically installed throughout the city on the streetlight or traffic light grid, which gives it maximum access and usability. The basic Mesh Global™ Smart Grid network uses five radio channels. Two channels are prioritized for the city's public safety and personnel needs; two channels are dedicated for private and business access and provide a revenue stream; one channel is used to provide free public access.

Each city will have the option to allow their citizens access to the smart grid on multiple levels. The basic scenario includes FREE public access on the grid with a mobile advertising and coupon delivery or advertiser free for a nominal charge.

This public access channel will also be used to provide community information, directions, history, events, schedules, etc.

Mesh Global™ Smart Grid "City Package" includes secure encryption, GPS tracking software, mobile and personal devices, and an array of specifically designed complementary applications which are included as part of the standard wireless mobile package installed in all city vehicles and worn by various public safety employees. This GPS technology will be used to locate, monitor and track police, fire, EMS and other city vehicles as well as personnel when away from their vehicles.
