How very true. Unfortunately, I'm trading with my SEP-IRA account and Ameritrade won't let me short stocks in that account. I don't know if that's just a quirk with Ameritrade, or if it is some sort of Federal reg.

In any event, I'd like to move to Freetrade, but they won't have the likes of me (IRA).

My spouse uses Freetrade, with an Alphatrade chaser, and does very well with that combo. But she's using real money.
